Course Drops and Withdrawals
Students in Distance Learning Programs, please refer to MyOnline.bradley.edu for the policies and deadlines specific to your program.
January & May Interims
For courses that meet less than a full semester (i.e. 8 weeks or 10 weeks), full tuition will be refunded for classes dropped on or before the first day of the term. A 50% refund is available for a class dropped within three days of the interim period. No refunds will be available for classes dropped four days after the interim begins.
*Partial Drops (Fall and Spring Semester)
If you drop one or more classes (reduction in hours), but remain registered for at least one course, the full tuition will be refunded for full semester classes (i.e. 15 weeks) dropped by the end of the second week of classes, ending September 8, 2023 for fall and February 2, 2024 for spring. There are no refunds for a class dropped after these dates. Course fees are not refundable.
Complete Withdrawal From The University
When a student withdraws from all classes, after completing registration, but before the official beginning day of University classes (August 23, 2023 or January 17, 2024), a full refund less a registration fee of $50 will be made for first semester freshmen and part-time students. All other full-time students will be charged a registration fee of $100.
Dropping all classes is considered a complete withdrawal from the University. If a full-time student decides to withdraw from the University, the student must contact Student Services. Appropriate documentation (Official Student Withdrawal Form) will be completed with that office. This documentation is provided to the following offices: Controller’s Office, Registrar’s Office and the Financial Assistance Office.
Upon withdrawal, tuition and fees will be charged as follows:
Fall Semester 2023
Tuition Proration

| Withdrawal Oct. 8, 2023 – Oct. 28, 2023 | 75% |

Spring Semester 2024
Tuition Proration
| Withdrawal Jan. 18, 2024 – Feb. 10, 2024 | 25% |
| Withdrawal Feb. 11, 2024 – March 2, 2024 | 50% |
| Withdrawal March 3, 2024 – March 23, 2024 | 75% |
| Withdrawal after March 23, 2024 | 100% |
No refunds will be made after the ninth week of classes.
Course fees, course surcharges, health fees and activity fees are not prorated or refunded.
Room and Board
Room and board are charged on a prorated basis for each day the student lives in University housing.
* The date the drop is processed is the date used in computing fee adjustments. Refunds for dropping individual classes or refunds for withdrawal from the university cannot be made until after the conclusion of the add/drop period and will take up to 21 days after complete withdrawal.
