To qualify, research must fall into one of eight (8) federally-defined exempt categories.
CUHSR reviews and has the authority to approve, require modification (to receive approval) or disapprove all research activities covered by HHS guidelines.
CUSHR will sometimes review projects that are not technically human subjects research. Read on to determine when your project may need a review.
