Dr. Robert DeGise Professional Writing Award

Dr. DeGise, a long-time member of the professional writing faculty, established the endowment in 1996 as a memorial tribute to the brave Americans who served in the battle of Iwo Jima in February of 1945. This award is presented annually to the best professional/business writing proposal submitted during the academic year. The award comes with a $1000 cash prize.

The Kevin Stein Academy of American Poets Prize

The Kevin Stein Academy of American Poets Prize recognizes the best single poem written by a Bradley University student. Administered by the Academy of American Poets in New York at nearly two hundred colleges and universities, the prize has been awarded to some of our country’s finest poets during their collegiate years. This award comes with a cash prize.

The Chester Sipple Poetry Award

The award acknowledges student achievement in creating a larger body of poetry. Students submit five original poems for consideration. This award comes with a cash prize.

Edgar L. Chapman Critical Essay Award

Student essays written for undergraduate literature courses are nominated by faculty. The award comes with a $1,000 cash prize.
