Family Weekend

September 22-24, 2023

Family Weekend is a time for families to experience Bradley. Families can enjoy movies together, battle on the Markin Center basketball courts, share a picnic on the quad and cheer on the Braves.

There is no advance registration required and families are invited to choose how to spend their time with their Brave.

Markin Recreation Center open Campus Recration 6:00am-7:00pm Markin Recreation Center Family member can enjoy the campus recreation center all weekend. The family pass for the weekend that will be $10 per family member over the age of 16. Anyone under the age of 16 will be free for the weekend but will need to be accompanied by an adult. The pass will be valid from 6am Friday through 10pm Sunday.
Bradley Volleyball vs. UNI Bradley Athletics 6:00pm Renaissance Coliseum Cheer on the Bradley Volleyball team! Students are admitted free with their Bradley ID, families and guests may purchase tickets for $3 online.
ACBU Presents: Jonathan Burns ACBU 8:00pm Olin Quad Born with the gifts of flexibility, curiosity, and goofiness, Jonathan Burns combines these unique talents to astonish audiences around the globe. Jonathan has wow’d the AMERICA’S GOT TALENT judges, been told by Penn Jillette he was ”absolutely fabulous (Teller nodded along) on their show FOOL US, dazzled the audience on THE LATE LATE SHOW with James Corden.

Family Weekend Service Project Bradley SERVE 11am-2pm Olin Quad (rain location: Markin Recreation Center) Bradley SERVE invites students and families to join together to engage in community service. All students, families and guests are welcome to walk up.
Family Weekend Picnic Student Activities Office 11am-2pm Olin Quad Food trucks will be selling lunch for families; we will also have lawn games, our Photobooth and entertainment by Bradley students!

ACBU Cinema ACBU 2:00pm Marty Theatre Students, families and friends are invited to enjoy Encanto! Free concessions including popcorn, candy and drinks are available.

Bingo Student Activities Office 7:00-9:30pm Markin Recreation Center Join us for Movie Bingo and Live Music Bingo Saturday Night! We’ll begin with Movie Bingo games at 7pm and then Live Music Bingo around 8:15pm. Multiple rounds of bingo games will be played during each session complete with prizes. There will be food and fun for the whole family. *Mobile device needed to play Bingo*

Riverfront Market Open Saturday morning 8am-noon in the 200 block of Water Street Peoria Riverfront Peoria's biggest and best farmers market! Featuring over 100 local vendors selling fresh produce, local meats, eggs, cheeses, breads, flowers, and baked goods! Local artists, musicians and demonstrations each week!
Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair Saturday 10am - 5pm Sunday 10am - 4pm Riverfront Festival Park 200 NE Water Street Peoria, IL It's the 61st year of bringing original art to central Illinois and we want you to be a part of the celebration! As one of the oldest art organizations in the country, the Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair is nationally recognized. Join us for a weekend of creative fun. Experience art from 130 juried fine artists on Peoria's Riverfront. Participate in the interactive community mural. Bring your children to the Kid's Art Festival where they can create their own masterpieces. Food, beer and wine stations will be set up throughout the fair.

Pettengill-Morron House Museum Saturday 1pm-4pm 1212 W. Moss Ave. BU families are invited to enjoy a guided tour of the historic 1868 Pettengill-Morron House Museum. The mansion at 1212 W. Moss Ave. near campus features antiques, Peoria history, and BU memorabilia from the 1930s, including letter sweaters, a beanie, yearbooks and more. Special pricing for BU families is $20 for 3 to 4 visitors. Individual pricing is $10/adults, $5/college and high school students and $3/ages 6-12. There is no charge to visit the gift shop, which includes antiques and jewelry. Peoria Historical Society wishes BU students, faculty and staff a great year!
