Biography

Madeline Wood holds bachelor degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and a Masters in Music Education from Northern State University. She won awards in the North Shore Musicians Club Competition, the Chicago Musicians Club of Women Competition, and the Union League Civic and Arts Foundation Classical Music Competition. She was the recipient of the Illinois Elementary Schools Association Class Act Music Award and in 2023, was named the West Central Illinois Teacher of the Year. She holds the position of Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 2 President. Currently, Madeline teaches 6-12 band and music appreciation at United Junior High and High School, woodwind techniques at Bradley University, and flute lessons and flute choir at Knox College.
