Biography

Eileen Snyder has worked closely with Michigan State University’s games and interactive media program, writing soundtracks for games such as Unicycle Samurai – presented at the 2023 Game Developers Conference as part of their alternate controller exhibit alt.ctrl.GDC – and Factory Reset.

Drawn to the unique versatility game composition requires, her soundtrack work runs the circuit from symphonic metal to drum ‘n’ bass to sea shanties and lounge music. She is also active in the online video game music arranging community. She has worked with ensembles such as The Game Brass and Consoul Big Band and collaborated with a wide variety of musicians on the globe-spanning online project Line Them Up! A Paper Mario: Origami King Concert for vgmtogether’s inaugural year. She refuses to disclose exactly how many hours she’s spent on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but know that it’s absurd.

Eileen is currently based in East Lansing, MI completing a dual MM in Composition and Theory at Michigan State University. She also holds a BM in Piano Performance from East Carolina University, where she graduated with distinction.
