Founded in 1907, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is among the world’s largest arts education organizations, and is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers. Bradley University has its own chapter of NAfME, and participation is required for music education majors.

Sigma Alpha Iota

Sigma Alpha Iota is a professional music fraternity for women. It functions in similar ways to a social sorority in that its participants have rush, rituals, and chapter meetings. However, it's different because the members have a bond through music, and most, if not all, of what they do concerns music. The Beta Gamma chapter at Bradley participates in numerous a number of projects including recitals, fundraisers, and other campus activities throughout the year including some that are in conjunction with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. For more information, see the Beta Gamma chapter website.
